Exploring the Iconic Motown Museum in Detroit, MI

Visiting Hitsville, Motown in Detroit, has been a dream of mine for years, and I was thrilled to finally make it happen. During our visit to Detroit, my cousins Larry and Deb graciously acted as our tour guides and took us to Hitsville, where so much music history was made.

Walking through the tour, we learned about the background of the Motown era and got to see every room and aspect of Motown from its establishment up until 1985, when the building became a museum.

Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much history with us, having grown up just down the street from Motown. We saw incredible artifacts like Gold Records and Michael Jackson's iconic hat and glove. It was fascinating to go back in time and see the small building where such incredible Music was created. I was moved walking through the studio where legendary artists like Stevie Wonder, The Four Tops, The Temptations, and Gladys Knight & the Pips once recorded their Music.

The impact of this iconic place on music history is truly awe-inspiring. If you're ever in Detroit, I highly recommend visiting Hitsville. It's an experience that music lovers will treasure, and it was a highlight of my trip to Detroit.

After our amazing visit to Hitsville, we also had the chance to explore Sun Retreats Park in New Hudson, which provided a peaceful and relaxing environment for the next leg of our journey. Overall, our time in Detroit was unforgettable, thanks to the incredible music history we explored and the welcoming atmosphere of Sun Retreats Park.
